Selection Process

Vacancies available at Cultura Inglesa branches

Selection processes for teachers are held twice a year: from May to July, for teachers who start work in August, and from October to December, for teachers who start work in February.

Cultura Inglesa will only consider applications made via the form on our website.

Applicants should have C1 level of English and experience in teaching

Vacancies available at our partner schools

Applicants should have B2 level of English, have relevant teaching experience and be open to professional development. Applicants that meet the minimum requirements will receive an invitation via e-mail with all the details about the selection process. Our partner schools hire the teachers, while the selection process, training and mentoring are exclusively done by Cultura Inglesa For Schools.

Selection Process

Learn about our selection process here:

1 - Online English Test

The first stage of the selection process is an online English Test.
The time limit to take the test is two hours, and applicants that are invited to take a selection process will receive an invitation with all the information to take it.

2 - Interview

All applicants that pass the test will receive an invitation via email to
schedule an Interview in English with one of our Coordinators.
Interviews can be taken online or face to face.

3 - Induction Day

On the Induction Day applicants will engage in a series of activities related to approaches to teaching English as a Foreign Language.

The Induction Day will be online.

4 - Microteaching

In the Microteaching stage, applicants will have the opportunity to show
their teaching abilities in a simulated lesson. Materials and instructions for the Microteaching stage will be given on the Induction Day. Coordinators and sometimes Directors of our branches are invited to observe applicants in the Microteaching. The Microteaching is face to face (yet to be confirmed).

Results

The results to all applicants that finish each stage. Cultura Inglesa informs applicants whether they have passed the selection process, but under no circumstances will Cultura Inglesa give specific feedback on any of the stages of the selection process. Positions are open according to demand, which means successful applicants may not be hired immediately. In that case, they are still eligible for a position in the following term.
